The Food Handling Certification Program in Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada (PMCC) is a one day training course (6.5 hours lecture followed by a one and half hours exam). Successfully completion of the exam will provide you a Food Handler Certificate. This certificate will be valid for five years.
This training and certification is meeting all mandatory provincial food safety training requirements. This food handler program is recognized by all health units in Ontario.
Food Handler Certification Program teaches food handlers the general principles of safe food handling, including topics such as:
- Public health legislation
- Understanding Foodborne Illness (Food Poisoning)
- Safe Food Handling
- Food Premises Sanitation
