Pharma-Medical Science College (PSCC) is proudly providing comprehensive Canadian Ultrasound ARDMS protocol-based training for all international medical graduates!

If you DO NOT have ARDMS license we will provide you with the full-training to prepare you for the ARDMS License Exam.

If you are licensed with ARDMS, but have poor scanning skills, or have no knowledge of Canadian protocols, still we are here to help you to get the hands-on training on protocols.

PSCC has developed training tools and designed comprehensive practical training using the latest new machines which help individuals not only by improving subject knowledge but also ensures that they are job-ready once they are licensed. We have recently bought new, latest machines which are being used in the imaging and diagnostic centers currently. We want our students not to just become licensed sonographers but also to have excellent scanning skills. Under that light, all the students who are registered for training have unlimited access to use our scanning machine to build and improve their scanning skills.

1. Normal anatomy, presented in static and real-time video clips will be shown.
2. The teacher will give extensive hands-on-training, and also will teach you scanning skills according to the Canadian Protocols.

Career As A Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonographer

The Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography program at Pharma-Medical Science College provides access to state-of-the-art equipment and the latest technology in ultrasound technology to make the students employment-ready once they graduate from the school.

Diagnostic medical sonography, usually known as ultrasound, uses high-frequency sound waves to examine the developing foetus, heart, abdomen, pelvis, and blood vessels. Each patient comes with unique needs and, as a student, you will learn diagnostic analytic, problem-solving and group/team association skills to give each patient the highest quality of care and support.

In Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography students will concentrate on developing both the theoretical and clinical competency in the field of cardiac sonography and achieve a widespread laboratory and clinical practical experience with the help of our expert instructors who are practicing in the field for a long time.

Students in the Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography program will have the chance to utilize state-of-the-art equipment and participate in clinical training and practicum under the supervision of a highly experienced sonologist in the school.

What are the learning outcomes:

  1. Good knowledge on equipment and expert in ultrasound machine set-up, use, age and maintenance.
  2. Critical thinking, good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  3. Good at examination planning; integration of relevant, available diagnostic data; technical analysis.
  4. Recognize the sonographic appearance of normal structures,
  5. Differentiate sonographic appearance of normal structures from anomalous and pathologic conditions
  6. Produce diagnostic data documenting sonographic findings for the physician’s diagnosis.

At the end of the training students will be able to work in the following facilities:

  1. Community and Teaching Hospitals
  2. Private Cardiology and Diagnostic Centres
  3. Medical Ultrasound Equipment.

The different positions that you could work in could be:

  1. Ultrasound Technologist
  2. Medical Sonographer
  3. Diagnostic medical Sonography Instructor
  4. Medical Sonographer’s Supervisor

The Personal Support Worker (PSW) program prepares graduates to provide supportive care to individuals across their lifespan by assisting them with their activities of daily living.

Graduates may find employment in a variety of care settings including:

Start A Successful Career As A Personal Support Worker With Job Assistance

Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada has been offering the Personal Support Worker Certificate Program for the last 10 years successfully. This is a full-time 6 months regular training program that encompasses students to gain excellent knowledge about the health-care facilities and the job duties expected from a Support Worker! Graduates from Personal Support Worker from Pharma-Medical Science College have shown tremendous achievement in getting a job almost immediately right after completing their placement. A lot of the graduates even got hired directly from their placement in nursing homes with highly competitive salaries.

Support workers usually work in nursing homes, long-term retirement homes, take care of private clients in their last-days or during periods when their family is away. Usually, they help their clients with activities of daily living. A support worker or home-care aide may assist a client at home with her daily routine work like helping with groceries, cooking light meals at home, helping to the toilet and bathe the client, personal-grooming, feeding and light house-keeping jobs as well.

In many cases, personal support workers also find work in the recreational and therapeutic department of long-term care homes or even in the shelter homes with special needs children. They can help clients and residents with different recreational and therapeutic activities as well as help them with their mental rehabilitation using different healing and restorative programs.

However, in most cases, personal support workers find the majority of their work either in nursing homes or in hospitals. They could get hired either directly by the nursing home or hospitals or by staffing agencies.
In all cases, our graduates have shown great success in getting recruited right after they completed their placement and received their NACC certificate.

The College also provides CPR/1st Aid training for the students as well as provides job references for each student while they are looking for their employment at the end of the training after getting a license. In this way, hundreds of our students have found work in the industry. This has also improved our reputation with the industry to a great deal.

1. What is OSAP
OSAP is financial aid to help student s pay for college or university

2. What types of financial aid are available

OSAP ia a combination of grants and loans.

Grants=money that you will not have to pay back.

Loans = money that you will have to repay. Loans are interest- and payment-free while you are in school full time.

3. How much can I get?

OSAP funding is calculated by comparing your educational costs and your personal financial situation.

For a typical two-term academic year, full-time single students will be eligible for up to $13,260 in loans and non-repayable grants, while married students and sole support parents can get up to $22,440.

4. What else do I need to know about OSAP?

Both full- and part-time students can apply.

When you apply for OSAP for full-time studies, you can choose to receive only non-repayable grants if you do not want the loan.

OSAP is available to dependent students, mature students, married students, and students with children.

5. How do I apply?

There are THREE basic steps the first time you apply for OSAP…

1) Start your application today at ontario.ca/osap by registering as a new user. You will be assigned an OSAP Access Number and create your OSAP profile.

2) In spring of 2017, after you have been accepted to college or university, complete your OSAP application and gather your supporting documentation.

3) Upload, mail or drop-off the required supporting documentation to the financial aid office at the college or university you plan to attend.

6. When do I apply?

The 2017-18 applications for full-time students will be available online at ontario.ca/osap starting in spring of 2017.

Don’t delay apply early!

The earlier you start your OSAP application, the sooner you can find out if you qualify and how much aid you can get.

Two New Ultrasound Machines Installed

In order to improve the quality of our teaching, Pharma-Medical Science college of Canada has installed two latest version of Ultrasound machines that students can use to learn. These two advanced machines have a variety of software to solve many different problem in different scenarios- all of which can be customized by the user. These machines can examine the abdomen, echo, vascular, ob, gyn and many more. The students will use these machines to much clearer imaging and process data quickly.

These machines are very popular in the current workplace. After the students practice on these machines, they will be more competent and feel more comfortable in the job market after they graduate.
