Massage Therapy Program : Our Mission Statement
The Mission
Our mission is to advance and continuously improve Massage Therapy education through academic and clinical excellence. We are committed to integrating current best practices, fostering ongoing reflection and growth, and preparing students to thrive as compassionate, skilled professionals. As the field evolves within the broader healthcare system, we aim to serve the public as dedicated advocates and ambassadors of health and wellness.
The Vision
Our vision is to be recognized as a leading Massage Therapy Program that fosters excellence in education, innovation in practice, and leadership in the advancement of the profession. We aspire to graduate massage therapists who are confident, compassionate, and committed to lifelong learning, interprofessional collaboration, and the promotion of health and wellness in a variety of healthcare and wellness environments.
The Philosophy
At the Pharma-Medical science College of Canada (PMCC) we encourage each student to discover and develop their unique potential as a Massage Therapist through teaching effective massage skills. This is accomplished through a carefully developed sequence of online, classroom and clinical training that is guided by experienced practitioners who are dedicated to teaching students about the use and benefits of Massage Therapy. We know Massage Therapy is important in healing the
human body. A skilled therapist is capable of providing a massage that relaxes the body and relieves patients of stress, tension, and pain. This, in turn, can heighten an individuals awareness of physical, mental and emotional processes and as such can provide opportunities for personal growth, transformation, and
healing. At PMCC we are honoured to share our knowledge with students as they begin their journey into the wonderful profession of Massage Therapy.

Program Goals
The goal of the Massage Therapy Program at Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada is to deliver a comprehensive, competency-based education that fully prepares
students for entry-level practice as Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in Ontario.
The program integrates foundational knowledge in health sciences, massage theory and techniques, assessment and treatment planning, and professional practice.
Students will acquire the knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviors required to meet the Competency Standards for Massage Therapists in
Ontario.
Designed with clearly defined learning outcomes, the diploma program emphasizes both academic excellence and practical application. Students receive hands-on experience through extensive on-site practice and direct client interaction in our supervised student clinic. A total of 330 supervised clinical hours is required
for graduation. Students also gain exposure to diverse clinical scenarios, including seated massage, clothed treatments, and care for vulnerable or
culturally diverse populations. This experience fosters professional confidence, ethical decision-making, cultural humility, and respectful client communication.
The program ensures graduates are well-prepared to meet the expectations of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), comply with all relevant regulatory and
professional standards, and contribute meaningfully to the broader healthcare system.
Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to write the CMTO Certification Examinations (MCQ and OSCE). Passing these examinations qualifies
graduates to obtain their Certificate of Registration and begin professional practice as RMTs in Ontario.
