The Massage Therapy diploma program at Pharma-Medical Science College provides training for individuals looking for a rewarding career working in the healthcare and spa fields. The diploma in Massage Therapy Program at Pharma-Medical Science College is approved by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities and after completing the degree requirements of the program, students will be eligible to write their Licensing Examination to be a licensed professional in Canada. The Licensing Exams leads to Registration of the graduates with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and after getting the license, individuals can practice professionally as, “Registered Massage Therapist”.
During the 88 weeks, training session students will learn and acquire the manual skills required in planning and developing techniques involved in rehabilitation and therapy.
Apart from theory and practical hands-on experience, students will also learn to excel in communication, professionalism, organizational, time management skills, critical thinking, business, and legal practice. Throughout the student’s experience at Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada, students will work closely with their classmates and Instructors. They will also experience many different learning environments, which will aid in integrating the theoretical curriculum with practical field applications.
Students will also cover diverse ways of therapy treatment practiced by different Health Professionals across Ontario and would get to know about the different procedures and techniques used for treatment. We have practicum sessions in our school where students will be trained to cover tasks starting from diagnosing clients by conducting a range of motion and muscle tests, developing rehabilitation and treatment plans for recovery, follow-up with the developed plans and also provide massage techniques.
Our clinical practicum session will take place in our state-of-the-art massage therapy laboratory located within the College. This fully equipped laboratory is a high-quality learning environment with advanced massage therapy tables, hydrotherapy, physical therapy, and therapeutic exercise equipment. These will ensure that the students are well equipped with knowledge and practice before they start working in their practical field.
