Community service workers help clients to get community services as needed. A community service worker may work for an agency, school board, group home or an organization. However, they can also be called as addictions worker, developmental service worker, youth worker and mental health worker
What are community service worker job duties?
A community service worker job duties are as follows
– Participate actively in the selection and admission process of clients to suitable programs
– Meet with clients to assess progress, provide support and help if needed
– Provide information to clients on social assistance programs
– Organize and implement the delivery of services within the community
– May supervise other service workers and staff
– May evaluate and research by maintaining program statistics
